Carr Houses
These stand aloof at the end of a track from the west end of Windmill Common houses, just before the old railway. This view, taken from the top of Junction Hill, shows the whole of the little community. Today there are 7 houses, a front row of 4 and a back row of 3.
Originally there were ten houses, built and owned by the Carr family last century; the three now demolished were in the field to the right of the remaining ones. All are now privately owned. On the right, hidden by shrubbery is the old railway line (LNR) from Methley Junction, and just visible near the houses is the bridge under the disused line.
