St Oswald’s Parish Centre

The rear of the renovated National School in 1986, when the building became the St Oswald’s Parish Centre. Note the new extension, enlarging the original classrooms to make one large room with new windows and roof extension, all blending with the original style.

There is a new footpath and a new entrance at the rear. The former playground is now a car park. The oldest part of the building is retained on theright with the interior altered. The School House is on the left.

St. Oswald’s Rectory, erected in 1960’s

St Oswald’s new Rectory was built in the mid 1960’s. The Rev. E. Evison was the first occupant. It was built on land which was part of the former rectory grounds.

The photograph shows the front i.e.west view. The lower part on the left is the Rector’s study. The entrance from the main road passes in front of School House and to the rear of Parish Centre.
