Lower Mickletown

This picture taken in 1990 from what were the Shand offices looking towards ‘Ings’ houses, 1990. Similar view on the previous page but just a little lower down the road. Shows end house of South View Houses, dormerr-windowed houses (on the site of Frog Hall), bungalow roof on the site of part of the former Waide’s Buildings, white gable of original houses and the tall house at the end of Cutler Lane. All these are on the left of the picture.

On the right in the forefront is part of the car park of the Shand complex, trees hide the older bungalows and beyond are house built on the site of White House Farm and its farmyard, 1986-87 – a mixed assortment of bungalows, detached houses, and semi-detached – 36 in all. At the rear are the older Greenfield Terrace houses.
